Located right next door to the Funeral Home is our Hospitality Center which provides a quiet, comfortable and home-like atmosphere where family and friends can meet following a funeral service. It is a wonderful old home built in 1923 and completely renovated in 2002.
The Center has been designed as a gathering place. It offers a large living room, kitchen facility, a bathroom where guests can freshen up and two quiet smaller rooms. A cozy fireplace warms up Maine's colder seasons and an exterior patio allows room to step outside for some fresh air. The Hospitality Center also has plenty of free parking, access for the disabled and is a very short walk from the funeral home.
We believe this facility is the only one of its kind in the greater Portland area.
Catering options include: bring your own food, provide your own caterer, or use a professional caterer recommended by Hobbs Funeral Home.
The Hobbs Hospitality Center of Scarborough is conveniently located directly in the same building as our funeral home on U.S. Route 1. It is available for the families we serve with plenty of on-site parking to accommodate your guests.
