SCARBOROUGH-Nancy Helena (Fowler) Foshay, 74 passed away peacefully on August 12, 2013 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, with her loving family by her side.

She was born April 8, 1939 in Portland Maine, the daughter of Chester and Barbara Fowler. Nancy attended Cathedral Grammar School and was a graduate of Portland High School Class of 1957.

Nancy worked at W.T. Grants in Portland and also worked for a time along side her husband and children at a family variety store. She spent many years at the Big 20, bowling in a women's league. Nancy spent winters in Florida with her husband where she loved to play Bingo with her neighbors. One of her most cherished memories was her trip to Ireland with her daughters, her brother Tim and cousins Peg and Sue. Nancy's children and grandchildren will always treasure the memories of the annual Red Jacket trip every summer.

Nancy's greatest pleasure in life came from her husband and family. Just being together whether it be a family vacation, a grandchild's sporting event or a simple stroll to the sandbar on Pine Point Beach. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of fifty five years, Donald A. Foshay Sr.; her six children, Donald A. Foshay Jr. and his wife Darci, Penelope A. Foshay Salevsky and her husband Charles Sr., Amy E. Foshay Short, Melissa K. Foshay, Petrea M. Foshay Plummer, Micheal S. Foshayand his wife Sarah; thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer Short, Jeffrey Short Jr., Charles Salevsky Jr., Molly Short, Donald Foshay ill, Chelsey Michaud, Elizabeth Salevsky, Brady Foshay, Kathryn Michaud.Robbie Plummer, Micheal Michaud, Madison Plummer, and Emily Foshay.

The family would like to thank the staff of Bay Square of Yarmouth and Home Partners of Scarborough for their wonderful support and care over the last six years.

Funeral services were private.

Arrangements are under the guidance of Hobbs Funeral Home, 671 U.S. Route 1, Scarborough.
