OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Ann T. Gray, precious wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Maine Medical Center, Portland, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Malden, MA and a native of Bedford, MA until moving to Maine in 2003.

Ann loved life and was quite active and involved in her family life.  She loved reading (book in every room), doing puzzles, crosswords, and keeping her mind active.

She was Chairperson of the Grounds Committee at her Condo Association and was well respected and loved by most.

Ann will be dearly missed by her husband, Francis, and all her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her son, Daniel Andrews, sister Noreen Damery, and brother Philip (Pete) McGovern.

Ann leaves behind her husband, Francis; daughter, Cheryl Sampson and husband Peter of Townsend, MA; stepdaughters, Alicia Burke and husband Ken of CT, and Samantha Chandler of Great Britain; grandchildren, Michelle Sampson, Heather Sampson and fiancé Eric Modica, Daniel Sampson and wife Andrea, Stephanie Sampson, Sophie Chandler, Benjamin Chandler, Zachary Solden and wife Sarah; great grandson Thomas Modica; siblings, brothers, James McGovern and wife Donna, and Leo McGovern; sisters, Katherine, and Lorraine Dunham and her husband Lanny. Ann also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 2-5 p.m., Thursday, August 11 at Hobbs Funeral Home, 671 U.S. Route 1, Scarborough.  A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, August 12 at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Scarborough Memorial Cemetery, Old Blue Point Road, Scarborough, following the service.
