Arthur Joseph Lounsbury SR

September 14, 1950 - May 19, 2024

Scarborough- Arthur J. Lounsbury 73, of Scarborough, passed away Sunday May 19th 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. Arthur was born September 14, 1950 in Cambridge, MA. The son of the late Arthur H. And Mary E. (Brown) Lounsbury. He grew up and attended Weymouth schools.  In the late 70's he moved to ME and made it his forever home.

Arthur was an avid New England sports fan, especially the Boston Bruins.  He always made sure he made it home in time for "puck drop". He had a love for classic cars of the 50's, 60's and 70's and enjoyed music from the same era.  He loved his daily coffee and donuts from Dunkin Donuts. His favorite past times were going to the Casino and reading about Military History.  He adored spending his free time with his grandchildren. He was a long-time employee of New England Truck Tire.

Arthur is predeceased by his parents and brother Thomas. He is survived by his son Arthur J. Lounsbury JR of NY, daughters Jennifer Torres of TX, Annya (Tad) Martin, and Lara Lounsbury both of ME. His grandchildren, Ethan, Roselyn, Hiliana, Jackson, Marco, Jameson, James, Norman and Isabelle. He's also survived by his sister Lynne (Ed) Spear, close friend Linda Pulsifer, as well as many other family and friends. A special thanks to Dr. Kelsey McDonald and Northern Light Hospice for their great care and support.

Visiting hours will be held 2pm to 3pm on Tuesday May 28th at Hobbs Funeral Home located at 671 US Route One in Scarborough. A celebration of life will be held at 3pm immediately following the visiting hours. Bruins attire is welcome.
