B. Kent (Kenny/Ken) SeeHusen of Portland, ME. and Estero, FL. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the age of 89.

Born and raised in Portland, ME. Ken was a graduate of Deering High School class of 1955. After graduation he enlisted and served with the United States Navy. When he completed his service, Ken married the late Colleen R. (Baker) SeeHusen and his employment with AT&T brought them to Massachusetts where they raised their four daughters in Woburn, MA. During his employment with AT&T, his naval experience landed him on the CS Cable Queen being part of the installation of the transatlantic cable lines.

During high school Ken played on the varsity golf team and his love of golf began. Ken was quick witted, articulate and a sharp thinker. He had a captivating presence and his charm was undeniable. He was also an active person and skiing and sailing brought him much happiness. He had a deep affinity for the ocean and he especially enjoyed spending time with his brother Bob fishing. Ken cherished their time together. Playing cribbage had a significant place in his life as he had long standing matches with his Dad and dear friend George and later with his own children and grandchildren.

Ken's passion for the game of golf never waned since he first picked up a club in high school and he remained dedicated to his passion for golf while living and working in Massachusetts. He was a member of Indian Ridge Country Club of North Andover, MA and Bear Hill Golf Club in Stoneham, MA. Ken was able to take an early retirement and he returned to Maine with the late Kathleen A. Casale to spend time with his aging parents, time which he was deeply grateful for. Before becoming residents of Estero, Fl., Ken and Kathy split their time between Maine and Florida being active members of both the Falmouth Country Club in Falmouth, ME. and Spring Run Golf Club in Estero, Fl.

Ken's reputation as an avid golfer precedes him and he will be remembered by his devoted daughters, extended family members and close friends not only for his great golf game, quick wit and charm but mostly for his loyalty to his family and those he loved. He will also be remembered for his compassionate side and strength, for the way he persevered through difficult times and how humble he truly was. Ken's legacy of unassuming determination and drive will be forever remembered.

Survived by his loving daughters, Lori A. Robichaud and her husband Ron of Gray, ME, Linda M. Bardascino and her husband Anthony of Woburn, MA, Lisa L. Robinson and her husband Michael of Methuen, MA., Leslie J. Peterson and her husband Erik of Boxford, MA. Eight grandchildren, Bryan Robichaud, Elise Robichaud, Peter Bardascino and his wife Katie, Marc Bardascino, Steven Robinson and his wife Jennifer, Matthew Robinson and his wife Lindsey, Madelyn Peterson and Zachary Peterson. Seven great-grandchildren, his sister-in-law Marilyn SeeHusen, and his nephews David and Peter SeeHusen. He was pre-deceased by his parents Bertram H. SeeHusen, Irene M. (Gatward) SeeHusen, his brother Robert H. SeeHusen, Colleen R. (Baker) SeeHusen and Kathleen A. Casale.

Visiting hours will be at the Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland, Maine 04106 on Monday, May 12th 2025  at 10 am. A memorial service will take place directly after visiting hours at 11 am. The graveside service will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 672 Stevens Ave, Portland, at 12:15 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join the family for a reception at the Elizabeth A. Hobbs Hospitality center following the graveside service.
