Boyce Miller Jackson

1934-2025

SOUTH PORTLAND—Boyce Miller Jackson passed away peacefully at Gosnell house in Scarborough, Maine on March 6, 2025, at the age of 90.

Boyce was born on April 18, 1934, at Biltmore forest Asheville, North Carolina, son of Boyce Augustus and Catherine McPhee Miller.

He attended the college of William and Mary.  He married Beatrice Laliberte on June 28, 1958.  After having three children in the DC area, they moved back to Lewiston Maine, where they raised their family.

Boyce was a drill instructor in the Marine Corps at Paris Island, North Carolina from 1954 to 1962.  After running a nursing home, hospital administrator, managing an oil company and real estate he retired from Bennett pump company in 1992.  He stayed active volunteering in the community and active with his church.

Boyce is survived by his loving wife Beatrice Jackson.  They had been married for 66 years.  His daughter Deborah Komich and spouse Michael of South Portland, son, Anthony Jackson and spouse Linda Fraini of Alaska.  Grandson, Ryan Komich and spouse Stephanie Komich of Cape Cod, granddaughter, Kelsey Komich Garcia and spouse Gustavo Garcia of Washington DC. Great grandchildren, Scarlett and Augustus Komich of Cape Cod.

Boyce is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Betty Schubel of West Virginia and Claudia Jackson of Boston and son Bradley Jackson of Natick Ma.

The Mass will be Monday, March 10, 2025, at Saint Maximilian Church in Scarborough, Maine at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Gosnell House in Scarborough, Maine.
