Bruce E.
Waterhouse
Aug 26, 1959 — Nov 20, 2022
Scarborough
Scarborough- Bruce E. Waterhouse, 63, of Scarborough, passed away unexpectedly on November 20th, 2022 at his home.
Bruce was born on August 26th, 1959 in Portland, ME to the late Barbara L. and Cecil E. Waterhouse. He grew up and attended schools in South Portland, where he graduated in 1977. He entered the workforce full of chutzpah, having proved his very strong work ethic at CVS in his early years. From there he would go on to work for J.E. Gould for 21+ dedicated years. He also worked at Bindley Western, Barber Foods and for the past 4 years proudly for Abbott Labs in Scarborough. Bruce would make many of his lifelong friends during these years. He was a very loyal friend to all and would be there to help anyone at a moment's notice.
Music was an integral part of his life and he was a preserver of classic rock, some of the best music ever written, with the likes of the Grateful Dead, the Eagles, The Band, Steely Dan, Little Feat, Lynyrd Skynyrd to just name a few. He enjoyed every concert he had the privilege of attending. Bruce introduced bands and their music to his friends who may never had listened to this music. He was an avid sports fan and was a proud Pittsburgh Steeler, Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Flyers, Boston Celtics and Florida State Seminoles fan. Whenever any of his teams were playing, the street would know. He thoroughly enjoyed gathering with friends and their company. Bruce was a voracious reader and compiled quite the library of music autobiographies, non- fiction and great sports novels. Bruce found golf, or golf found him later in life and he became an avid golfer, playing many rounds with his tight knit golfing crew. He would play almost every weekend or rare mid-week day off and had the opportunity to play at many courses in Maine and NH.
Predeceased by his parents, Bruce is survived by his son Christopher M. Waterhouse , daughter Kayla N. Waterhouse and many beloved cousins and friends.
