SOUTH PORTLAND - Cary Anthony DePaolo passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at age 71. He was the eldest son of Alphonso and Barbara DePaolo, of South Portland. Cary was born in Portland, Maine on November 7, 1951.

Cary grew up in South Portland, living and working at the family's store. He attended South Portland High School, class of 1970. After graduating, Cary served in the United States Navy aboard USS Albany CG-10.

He attended SMVTI, now known as Southern Maine Community College, and received a diploma in Automotive Technology. Cary was a mechanic and engineer most of his life. He loved cars, motorcycles and outside activities such as gardening, fishing and boating. He enjoyed being involved with charities and always gave to those in need. He will be remembered for his genuine good-natured humor and adventurous spirit.

Cary is survived by daughters Sirena DePaolo; Kayla Liberty and her husband Anthony; brothers Randy DePaolo; Tommy DePaolo and his wife SueSue; niece Diana DePaolo and her son Dillon; nephew Randy DePaolo and Crystal Whitney.

Cary's family would like to thank all the friends and family who have made his life more meaningful and memorable.

Cary's service will be held at the American Legion, Post #35 on Broadway, South Portland from
2-6 p.m., Friday, November 17th, 2023.
