The red-headed, sweet and sassy artist, poet, devout Christian, fighter against a devastating brain disorder, loyal friend, sister, daughter, wife, and stepmother.

Born on December 17, 1952 in Quincy, Massachusetts, raised among the woods and pastures of Sudbury and Brattleboro, Vermont, she lost her special friend, her father, at age 16, and suffered the onset of schizo-affective disorder. Thanks to efforts of dedicated people at the Department of Mental Health, she entered a clinical trial for Clozapine and the supportive community that enabled her to live, work and flourish in Boston.
She graduated from Mount Ida College as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, and worked at the Boston Alzheimer's Center.

A member of Gateway Arts, her creative talents as an artist and weaver thrived in the kinship of other artists.

Invited by a friend to the International Community Church in Allston, she became an enthusiastic member, Deacon, Sunday school teacher at the congregation led by Reverend Lorraine Anderson.

Catherine met Rev. Anderson's brother, Richard, when he moved back to Boston. They were married at the church in 2003 and took great care of each other with endless teasing and summer cookouts at their apartment in Allston.
