Christafer Ralph Dodge, 47, of South Portland, Maine passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2023.  He was predeceased by his father Percy Dodge, and left behind his wife Jennifer Smith Dodge, daughter Savannah Dodge, son Cody Dodge, mother Dale Thompson, and step-father Butch Thompson.

Chris was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and nephew.  He adored his children with all his heart and was so proud of everything they did. Chris had a magnetic presence about him, that captured the hearts of many.  Always helpful and friendly to anyone blessed to have met him.  A joker by nature wanting to make people laugh, which he did always. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding and camping in the wilderness.  Chris was skilled at anything he put his mind to and if he didn't know how to fix it he would learn, making him a man of many talents. He loved and gave with all he had and only wanted love in return.

Chris was born August 16, 1976 in North Adams, MA.  After receiving his GED, he served in the United States Army.  After leaving the Army, he went to the Barron Institute of Technology, receiving a certificate in HVAC.  He later became a master plumber. He was a self-employed General Contractor, Master Plumber, specializing in HVAC.

Other than his wife, children, and parents, Chris is survived by his half-brother James Rossner; step-sisters Dede Thompson-Turner, and Stacy Thompson; step-brothers Jeff, and Scott Thompson; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Hobbs Funeral Home in South Portland at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  A service will follow visitation hours.  A ceremony will be held at a later date in Massachusetts.
