Dennis Maloney, 73, of Saco Maine, passed away on July 8, 2026 peacefully at home with family and loved ones by his side.

Dennis was born in Portland, Maine to Virginia Haskell Maloney and John Philip Maloney February 9, 1953. He went to Portland High school. He spent a number of years as an independent delivery specialist and many years as a prep technician, retiring from Frank Galos Chevrolet.

Dennis served in the Navy from 1971 – 1975 active service, and then did two years in the reserves. He was awarded a National Defense Service Medal. In his younger days he was a member of the Elks and Eagles where he enjoyed the company of friends, and helping the community. He especially enjoyed doing the Friday pizza nights and the yearly lobster bake.

Dennis enjoyed hunting and fishing with his best friend of 43 years, Jeffrey Steinman, up north on Lake Moxie.

Dennis is preceded in death by his mother, father, brothers John, Timothy, Daniel, and Jerry.

Dennis is survived by his fiancé, Linda Daniels, daughter Hollie Jacobs and husband Jay, son Jason Caouette and wife Tina, grandkids Braedyn, Keagan, Kianna, and Brysen, bonus daughter Heather Lavigne, former wife, Cheryl Maloney, mother of Dennis’ children, and countless friends, colleagues, and neighbors.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday July 15, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm at Hobbs Funeral Home in Scarborough, Maine.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Maine Veterans Home, Scarborough, Maine.
