PORTLAND - Dorothy (Roberts) Lomas, age 101, died peacefully on September 27, 2023, in Portland, Maine, at St. Joseph Rehabilitation and Residence.

She was born in Dukinfield, England, on September 17, 1922, to Percy and Emily Roberts, the oldest of five children.

After her family emigrated to the United States, they lived in Central Falls, Rhode Island.  She met and married Herbert Lomas of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and they were married for 64 years.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Keith Lomas, and her husband, Herbert.

Surviving are her three children, six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

There will be no visiting hours.  A private family graveside service to be held at a later date.
