Obituary

Edward L. Gaudreau III, 85, of Falmouth, ME, was born in Dover, NH, August 20, 1940. He passed at home surrounded by family on November 11, 2025.

He graduated from South Portland Highschool in 1958. Following graduation he enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed at Kingsley Air Force Base. Klamath Falls, OR. It was there that he met his wife Jean, of 61 years. During his four year military career he served in the Okinawa, Japan. He attended and graduated from Oregon Tech with an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering. His civilian career in the Aerospace Industry took him and his family to Los Angeles, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Manchester, NH, Douglasville, GA, Goffstown, NH, Exton Pa, and Sunnyvale, CA. In 2022 he made his final and last move to Falmouth, ME after the death of his wife.

He enjoyed traveling across country and exploring National Parks. He loved golfing, camping, and woodworking. His latest passion was time spent with cousin Charlie Perry at the antique car shows. He himself owned a 1927 Model A, 1939, Ford and 1986 Ford Thunderbird. He belonged to the Raiders Antique Club, American Legion, and The New Boston Station Trackers.

He was predeceased by his parents Edith & Edward. wife Jean, sister Jean, and brothers Arthur & Robert.

He is survived by his brother David, wife Barbara and daughters Lori Gaudreau of Klamath Falls, OR, Sarah (Thomas) Hilton of Strasburg, PA, and Diane (Robert) Barbaris of Manassas, VA. Step Children Cathy Curtis, Rick Josephs, Jim Josephs, and Jeff (Ellen) Josephs. Six Grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren and one step great grandchild.
