Elaine (Levenson) Levine

1938 - 2026

SOUTH FREEPORT - Elaine (Levenson) Levine, our beloved mother, Bubbe, sister, aunt, cousin, neighbor and friend, passed from this life on Monday, April 27, 2026. She passed peacefully in her sleep at her beloved home in South Freeport.

Elaine was a free spirit. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson College, was a licensed realtor, and lived in New Jersey, Hawaii and Maine. As a young woman she loved Broadway shows, movies, and trips to Atlantic City.

She loved the music of Broadway show tunes, Neil Diamond, Judy Collins, and the Grateful Dead. Her full life included numerous “Dead” concerts to include one of their European tours.

She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Levine, her parents Mary and Harry Levenson, her brother Lew Levenson and her brother Al Levenson.

She is survived by her four children, Lawrence Levine, Judith Ellison, Eric Levine and MD Mitchell, and her grandchildren Jessica Levine, Dylan Levine, Rikki Ellison, Alan Ellison, Sam Patch, and Jewell Levine and her twin sister Elle Levenson. 

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services.

Her favorite song was “Ripple” by the The Grateful Dead.
