South Portland - Evelyn Roloff, age 77, of South Portland died on May 23, 2023 at Maine Medical Center after a brief illness.  Evelyn was born in Portland Maine and raised in South Portland where she lived most of her life.  After graduating from South Portland High School, she went to work in the office for First National Stores where she met her future husband, Tony.  Tony and Evelyn moved to Presque Isle soon after getting married where she received her teaching degree from UMPI.  When they moved back to South Portland to start a family, she went to work for Fairchild Semiconductor before realizing her dream of owning beachfront property by operating a hotel in Old Orchard Beach with her husband.

She enjoyed having her grandchildren visit her at the beach, playing cards with her family and cheering on her beloved Red Riots.

Survived by her devoted husband Tony, son Matthew, his wife Kristy and their children Kira and Lydia.

Visiting hours will be held on May 26, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and the funeral will be held on May 27, 2023, 1:00 p.m. with reception to follow, at Hobbs Funeral Home, located at 230 Cottage Road, South Portland, Maine 04106.
