Dr. Forrest Osborne Foreman, 72, of Scarborough, died on March 18, 2025. He was born in Waltham, MA, on September 19, 1952, the second son of Capt. Robert P. Foreman, USN, and Frances Owens Foreman. He was a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, the physicians' assistant program at Bowman Gray School of Medicine and the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.

After obtaining his undergraduate degree, Forrest served in the Army as an operating room technician in one of the last Mobile Army Surgical Hospitals. He then worked as a physicians' assistant at several hospitals in the Baltimore, MD, area before enrolling in medical school. He served an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, MA, following which he worked as a hospitalist in Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI, and Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford, ME, from which he retired in 2018. He was board certified in internal medicine.

Forrest loved dogs, military history, sailing, science fiction, classic movies and television series, music, Petit Manan, and Star Island, a conference center located in the Isles of Shoals. His many interests did not include professional sports, which he tolerated because his loved ones were fans of many teams.

He is survived by his wife, Arlyn Weeks, of Scarborough; his brothers, Robert P. Foreman, Jr. and his wife, Lamere Hennessee, of Ellicott City, MD, and Dr. Jonathan H. Foreman and his wife, Terry, of St. Joseph, IL; his sister, Elizabeth Foreman Spicer, of Pittsburgh, PA; five nephews, four nieces, and three grandnieces; his godson, Douglas E. Wagner, of St. Louis, MO; and his best friend, Dr. Peter Smith of Baltimore, MD.

Deep appreciation and thanks are extended to the staff of Scarborough Terrrace and Compassus Hospice, who cared for Forrest during the last year of his life.
