Georgia M. Taylor passed away on September 29, 2024 with loved ones by her side. Georgia was born on April 30, 1948 to Helen and George Roy Sr. She grew up in South Portland attending South Portland Schools and graduating in 1966. She married the love of her life Robert (Bob) Taylor Jr. in September of 1967. Together they raised three children and many beloved Newfoundland dogs.

During their 56 years of marriage, Georgia and Bob, enjoyed their winters on the ski slopes and summers traveling in their camper visiting family and friends.

Georgia was happiest being a mom, but she also worked various positions at Maine Medical Center and for a brief period at the ski lodge.

Georgia had many passions including gardening, sewing, and watching professional basketball and baseball, always rooting for the Red Sox. She never missed an opportunity to watch her grandchildren play sports. She cherished her time at her best friend, Jean's camp. Together they enjoyed boating, playing cards, and reading peacefully on the patio. She will be greatly missed at camp.

Georgia was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her brother, George and sister, Patricia. She is survived by her son, Rob, and daughters, Michelle and Andrea and five grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Arthur, and sisters, Marie and Catherine. She will be missed by many, many friends especially the Williams family.

A memorial service to celebrate Georgia's life will be held on Wednesday, October 9 at 1:00p.m. at Hobb's Funeral Home 230 Cottage Road in South Portland. A reception will follow from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. at the Elizabeth Hobbs Hospitality Center.
