SOUTH PORTLAND- Gina was born in Laon, France, Sept. 10, 1960 to Galen Arey and Shirley Hatch Arey. She graduated from South Portland High School in 1979.  She was in the Army Reserve as a mechanic.

Gina was very devoted to her family. She not only raised her own two daughters as a single mother but was instrumental with the upbringing of her nieces. She was the major caregiver for both her parents and her fiancé before their passing.

Gina was predeceased by her parents Galen N. and Shirley A. Arey, her sister Gayl Arey Johnson, and fiancé Bruce Bennett.  She is survived by her daughter Amanda Huff (John Weber Jr) grandchildren Lyn and Chance Weber.  Daughter Cassaundra Huff.  Sister Sue A. Arey (James Small).  Brother-in-law Dennis Johnson.  Nieces Belinda Arey Curran (William Curran), Anastasia Johnson.  Nephew Stephen Thurston (Sabrina Thurston).  Great nieces and nephew Fiona Curran, Jayden Thurston, Haley Thurston.
