Obituary

Henry Ephraim Connors, 84, of Ocean Park, passed away on October 8, 2023.

He was born in Newburyport, MA on January 7, 1939, a son of Henry and Dorothy (Kelly) Connors.  He served in the Air Force from 1956-1962, after which he was a reservist in the Seabees.

On April 24, 1958, he married the love of his life, Janice (Johnson) with whom he spent 65 wonderful years.

Henry spent his career working hard for his family.  He truly enjoyed working for the City of South Portland and later worked for the Portland Pipeline, Olive Garden, the Surplus Store, and a variety of other places before finally retiring to enjoy time with his family and his many hobbies.

Over the years, he spent time raising rabbits and serving as a rabbit show judge.  He enjoyed cooking and collected a multitude of recipes.  Upon request he would cook favorite recipes for family members, these included his fried rice and chicken parmesan.  He had a passion for genealogy and leaves behind a legacy of documentation for his family and future generations.

He enjoyed spending time outdoors and became licensed as a Maine Guide.  He liked to camp and hunt and was even able to share in the experience of his son's moose hunts over the years.  He spent time working on his photography, enjoyed beach days with family, and loved a good game of darts.
