After a long and difficult fight with cancer, the light and love of my life, my soul mate, and my beautiful Janet passed away peacefully in her sleep early this morning. I'm heartbroken that she was taken from us so soon. We had been together for 45 years and married for 40 of those years. She was kind, sweet, caring, funny, and touched everyone who had the privilege to know her. She would want you all to know how much she loved each and every one of you. Throughout this journey with her, you were all very special to both of us in your expression of love and support.

She will be cared for by Hobbs Funeral Home in South Portland, ME and in her memory, she would have asked that in lieu of any food or flowers that you would honor her by supporting either the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland or The Melanoma Research Alliance.
