Janice Marie
Clukey Morgan
d. Feb 16, 2026
Janice Marie Clukey Morgan, age 78, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, at Maine
Medical Center in Biddeford, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on March 30, 1947, in Bangor, Maine, Janice was the cherished daughter of Richard Clukey and Janet Comeau. Janice built a long and dedicated career at UNUM Insurance, where she worked for more than 20 years as a Long Term Care Specialist.
Family was the heart of Janice's world. She treasured every moment spent with those she loved and
took special joy in time shared with her adoring grandchildren. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle
presence created a home where everyone felt welcomed and deeply loved. She lived in the same
neighborhood for over 50 years and made lasting friendships with her neighbors. 'Lawn talk' with the
Alder Street gang was one of her favorite things to do each day as well as gathering in the screen
house with family and friends. She also loved dancing with her husband at the Elks Lodge.
Janice is pre-deceased by her brother, Thomas Clukey.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Gordon Morgan; her sister Sherry Drew and
brother Joey Kramer; her daughters Vicki McKinley and Stephanie Hirshon; and her sons‐in‐law
Clifford McKinley and Todd Hirshon. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Faith
McKinley-Shiu and her husband Ivan Shiu, Zachary Hirshon, and Braydan Hirshon, all of whom
brought immeasurable joy to her life.
Janice will be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering love for her family, and the grace with
which she lived her life. Her memory will continue to be a blessing to all who knew her.
Visiting hours will be held at Hobbs Funeral Home in South Portland, Maine, on Thursday, March 12,
2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. followed by a brief service. Internment will be in the spring along
