John S.
Foley
Mar 2, 1959 — Jan 11, 2026
John Stephen Foley of Portland, Me passed unexpectedly on January 11th in his home. He was an amazing father, brother, Uncle, and all around hilarious guy that owned almost every room he entered. He was an avid card and comic book collector, a wonderful dancer, an incredible artist, the type of guy that would sing anything anywhere just to make people smile, the best hugger known to man, and the most dedicated and loyal supporter of every New England team, but especially the Red Sox.
Johnny was a very skilled painter and carpenter as well as a postal worker for the United States Postal Service for over 17 years. He is survived by his son John Stephen Foley, his daughter, Shannon Marie Foley, his grandson's Alex, Avery, and Charlie, who were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his siblings Peter Foley, Linda Foley, and Patty Carignan. He will be remembered as an all-around great guy who would give you the shirt off his back and do anything to make you smile. A service will be held in the community center where he lived, Sunday January 18th at noon.
