Obituary

Kenneth Anthony Fields, 61, of South Portland, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024, at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 25, 1963 to Henry Anthony Fields and Jerralyn Cadigan.

He studied mechanics at SMCC. He took great pride in maintaining his cars. Kenny was known for his infectious smile and always lending a helping hand. He had an amazing work ethic. His passion for the sea led him to a career in deep sea fishing and lobstering. Most recently, Kenny worked in construction.

He loved his family and was a true gift to his mom the past two years and did everything possible to make her life easier. He adored his nieces and all kids because he was such a kid at heart. Kenny was a successful organ donor proving even in death he was willing to help anyone who needed him.

Kenneth was predeceased by his father Henry Anthony Fields. He is survived by his mother Jerralyn Cadigan, sister Elizabeth Darling, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 4 from 1:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. at the Elizabeth Hobbs Hospitality Center, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland, with a brief service at 2:30p.m.

The family would like to thank the doctors, caregivers, and the organ donor team at Maine Medical Center ICU.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Maine.
