Laura King, 68, of South Portland, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024. Born on September 4, 1955 in Biddeford, Maine,  Laura was a beloved daughter, mother, wife, and grandmother whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.

Laura's granddaughters were her entire world. She took immense joy in spending time with them, sharing stories, laughter, and love. Laura also loved to host holiday family gatherings. Her legacy of compassion and dedication to her family will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her mother Sylvia, loving husband Kenneth of 43 years, her son Kristopher, daughter-in-law Kendall, brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Cindy and their daughters Adrianna and Kailynn along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins and most importantly her two granddaughters Makenna and Savannah who will miss her deeply but will cherish her memory always. She was predeceased by father George, brother Jeff and son Ryan. Laura's spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever remember her as a beacon of love and strength.

Visitation will be held from 10am-11am on Saturday, July 27th followed by a funeral service from 11am-12pm at Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland. A reception will follow at 1pm at Maria's Restaurant located 1335 Congress St, Portland, ME 04102, where friends and family can gather to honor and remember the incredible woman she was.
