Obituary

Cape Elizabeth – Margaret LaFlamme, 80, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2022 with her family and closest friend by her side. She was born in Wilton, ME the daughter of Kenneth Wright and Dorothy Morgan and graduated from Wilton Academy.

Margaret met and married the love of her life, Donald LaFlamme, on April 27, 1963, sharing 57 wonderful years and raising four amazing children. Through the years, Margaret had many names: Mom, Ma, MuMu, Nannie, Nana and Maggie but they all stood for the same thing (LOVE and RESPECT).

She was a crossing guard for the Cape Elizabeth School Department for many years. She also worked at Mister Bagel in South Portland. But her love for showing cats was her passion, winning many CFF champion ribbons. She also loved showing and training her dogs, winning numerous ribbons.

Margaret's true love in her life was her family. She loved spending time with them; she enjoyed fishing and boat rides, dinners with family and going to the casinos.

She is predeceased by her husband, Donald LaFlamme, father Kenneth Wright, mother Dorothy Morgan, brother Steven Wright and two grandsons, Michael LaFlamme and Jason Steeves.

She is survived by Kim LaFlamme of Scarborough, Kevin and Robin LaFlamme of North Waterboro, Karen Berube of Scarborough, Kenny LaFlamme of Cape Elizabeth and Mitzi Sheedy of Dayton; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Margaret is also survived by her dearest friend, Clara Williams of Portland.

The family would like to thank Clara for always being there for Margaret.
