Marilyn Guiggey

1940-2025

WESTBROOK--On Thursday February 27, 2025, Heaven received a beautiful angel, Marilyn Guiggey, formerly of 2 Brookwest Lane in Westbrook, Maine.   She died peacefully at Cape Memory Care.

Born July 5, 1940, Marilyn was the youngest of 6 children born to Truman and Dorothy Guiggey of Blaine, Maine.  She attended CAHS in Mars Hill.    She was pre-deceased by 3 siblings that she never had the opportunity to meet, Ellery, Geraldine and Avis, her parents Truman and Dorothy Guiggey, her sister Audrey Martel of Austin Texas and her 2 sons Bruce Gullifer and Bret Gullifer of Scarborough, Maine.  She leaves behind a brother, Bev Guiggey and his wife Carol of Mars Hill/Naples Florida, 4 grandchildren, Connor Gullifer and his wife Colleen and daughter Kaylee, Michele Brezniak and her husband Craig and 2 children Sophia and Carson, Meagan Evanto and her husband Larry and their 4 children Hunter, Cooper, Lilly, and Ellie, and Christopher Tyson and his wife Rachel and daughter Scarlett.  She also leaves behind nieces and nephews, Jill Spencer, Janice Kroot, Richard Martel, Steve Martel, Cathy Martel and Beth Martel and her dear friends Nancy C.  Millett, Heidi A. Sprague-Deiley, and Eugene Bouille.

Marilyn was loved by all who knew her, and she loved her family and friends unconditionally.   She had a beautiful smile that could light up a room and an infectious laugh with a sense of humor that will be missed by all those who had the great honor to know her.   She loved the ocean, and she did love her fried scallops from Kens.  She loved all animals but had a fear of birds.  Marilyn had a great love for dogs.  Her dog Coco brought her great comfort and companionship over the last several years and would not leave her side.  She was always happy when he was sitting in her lap

Marilyn loved working at the Dairy Queen in Westbrook after her retirement and they were her "second family".  Thank you to Bob Pattern and all, for she always considered Bobby her 3rd son.  And all there her family.

Marilyn will be greatly missed.   Services are planned for later in the summer when she will be buried with her son Bret Gullifer.
