SCARBOROUGH - Martha Buirch, 92, of Scarborough, Maine, formally of Nashua, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital in Portland on April 1, 2025.

Martha was born on August 26, 1932, in Warren, Pennsylvania.  Her parents were Francis and Florence Williams (Gibbons).

Martha dedicated her entire life caring for others. She was a loving mother and sister.  She enjoyed socializing with friends but also loved being at home with her family.  Martha loved all animals.  She looked forward to watching humming birds and cardinals at her bird feeders.  Her other hobbies included taking care of her many house plants, traveling in her camper, collecting bells and teacups.

Martha is predeceased by her brother, Carl Williams, of Rochester, New York.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Richard Beck of Scarborough, Maine; daughter Betty and Rick Wing of Harrisburg, North Carolina; son James Strobridge of Milford / Nashua, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Marcia and Kurt.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, at Hobbs Funeral Home, 671 U.S. Route 1, Scarborough.
