Michael Normand Levesque, 70 of South Portland, Maine passed away peacefully at his home on June 3, 2025.

He was born on January 11, 1955, in Portland, Maine, the son of the late Edouard Adrien Levesque and Fernande Elizabeth (St. Laurent).

Mike was a member of Holy Cross Church where he served as an altar boy and sang in the choir. He attended South Portland High School.

He was employed at HCI Craftsmen, Canteen, and Radon Mitigation Services.

As a youth, he was a member of Boy Scout Troop 22 in South Portland and in later life, because of his belief in the benefits of Scouting, he became the Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 37 in South Portland.

His love of the outdoors led him on many adventures with his long-time best friend, Gary Powell. They enjoyed canoeing, summer fishing, four wheeling, snowmobiling, ice fishing and pheasant and deer hunting. To ensure he would always have a place to enjoy outdoor life, he bought seventy acres in Dover Foxcroft and built a log cabin almost singlehandedly. This was a long-time dream that he worked tirelessly to complete and enjoy.

Georgie Girl, his ten-year-old treeing walker coonhound, will especially miss him as they loved taking long walks together and later snuggling on the couch.

He was predeceased by his parents and a younger brother, Steven G. Levesque.

Mike is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jeannette Peavey Levesque, his daughter Selena E. Leeman (Jeff) of Buxton, his son lan M. Levesque of Mechanic Falls, his two stepdaughters Audra L. Wimert (Ryan) of Saco and Melissa A. Daigle (Tim) of Scarborough; seven grandchildren, Dylan Leeman, Taylor Levesque, Noelle Daigle, Brooklyn Levesque, Willow Daigle, Ella Leeman and Xander Levesque.

Per Mike's request, there will be no service and a private celebration of life will be held in the summer.
