South Portland – Michael G. O'Brien, 69, of South Portland passed away on December 19, 2022.

Mike was born on March 27, 1953 in Portland, ME, to Gordon J. and Lucille (Lawrence) O'Brien. He graduated from Portland High School in 1971 and then went on to graduate from Husson University

Growing up, Mike loved spending summers at his Gram's house on Round Pond with all of his cousins. He and his cousins remained very close. He enjoyed going out on his boat in Casco Bay, fishing in Sebago, working and building in his workshop.

Mike owned and operated O'Brien's Property Services as well as working for the School Department driving a bus. He loved driving the school bus, only retiring after many years due to illness.

Besides his parents, Mike is predeceased by his son, Nicholas O'Brien and his sister Patricia. He is survived by his partner, Jan Mooney, who loved him very much, her son Parker and his wife Kristen; two daughters Michelle Roberts and Ashley O'Brien; four grandchildren; niece Linda Teale with whom he was especially close and many other loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

As per Mike's wishes, there will be no services.
