Nancy A. Greer passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, at the age of 92, with her daughter by her side, while residing at 75 State Street.
Nancy and her late husband, Edward Greer, were longtime residents of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, where they spent the majority of their lives together and raised their family.
Nancy was one of seven children. She was predeceased by five of her siblings and leaves behind her sister, Shirley, with whom she shared a very special and lifelong bond.
Nancy was the loving mother of four children, Doug, Audrey, Walter (and his wife Isabel) and Ben. She was also a proud grandmother of six grandchildren, one of whom predeceased her, and of two great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Faith was an important part of Nancy’s life. She was a lifelong member of People’s United Methodist Church and remained connected to her church community throughout her life.
Nancy and Edward especially enjoyed spending their summers at their family camp on Notched Pond in Raymond, Maine. The camp was a special place for them and their family, filled with many years of memories and time spent together. The property remains in the family today.
Nancy was also a talented fiber artist who especially loved working with yarn. An avid knitter and crocheter, she created countless handmade pieces over the years. In keeping with her generous nature, she donated or gave away much of her work as gifts to others.
Professionally, Nancy worked for decades as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Maine Medical Center, dedicating part of her life to caring for others.
Above all, Nancy will be remembered for the life she shared with her family, her faith, her creativity, and the many people she touched throughout her 92 years.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
