Nettie Pollard, 95, was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, great aunt, great grand aunt, and friend. Nettie passed peacefully on June 26th at the Lodges. She was born in Sanford Maine Feb 7, 1930, to parents Chet and Vera Galeucia. She graduated from Sanford High School. She married the love of her life David Pollard on October 17th, 1953, David, Nettie, and Colleen resided most of their lives in South Portland
Nettie found joy in cooking, reading, playing Bingo, cards and especially her daily cribbage game with her daughter Colleen. She cherished the time spent with Nephew David Pepin (Denise) and Neice Kathy Pepin Henry (Steve) for special family events, on holidays, birthdays and at David's camp.
Predeceased by her parents, her husband, sister Virginia Pappas, brothers Chet Galeucia Jr and George Galeucia.
She is survived by her daughter Colleen Pollard of Springvale ME. Nieces and Nephews Kathy, David, Rudy, Michelle, Kevin, Janice, Fred, Gary, Brian, Stuart, Patty, Kathy, Wendy, Trudy, Darlene, Marleen, Susie, and George
Nettie had several great and great grand nieces and nephews who she enjoyed spending time with.
Visiting hours will be at Hobbs Funeral Home 230 Cottage Rd, So Portland ME on Thursday July 3rd 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. There will be a private Burial at the Veterans Cemetery in Augusta where Nettie will rest eternally beside her beloved husband later.
