Norman Arthur Pease, 86, of Scarborough, Maine, passed away May 24, 2023, after a long illness. Norman was born January 30, 1937, in Exeter, New Hampshire, to the late Arthur and Grace (Wojnar) Pease. He graduated from Newmarket High School, served in the Air Force and graduated from the University of New Hampshire.
He worked as a landscaper, golf course superintendent, in print shops, and had a home mail order business. He was a member of the American Legion and a Life Member of Mended Hearts and Round Squares. He enjoyed water skiing, square dancing, cribbage, reading and TV. He was Santa at Flaherty's Family Farm for the last decade. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is predeceased by his sister Marilyn and brother Michael.
He is survived by the love of his life, Letha, his wife of 60 years. Daughters Leslie (Michael) Lenentine of Buxton, ME, and Lisa Fitzgerald of South Portland, son Michael (Kathryn) Pease of Vassalboro, ME; Grandchildren Mitchell, Nicole (Carlos), Jake (Alex), Madigan, and Kaitlyn; Great Grandchildren Adeline and Avyn; Adopted daughters Bonnie Staniewicz and Donna Roy; Adopted grandchildren Tim, Robin, Molly and Kate Lea; Sisters Nancy Eastman of Rochester, NH, and Linda (Bruce) Fecteau of Newmarket, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Hobbs Funeral Home, 671 U.S. Route 1, Scarborough followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Maine Cancer Center and the American Heart Association.
