Scarborough – Pamela Jordan Podziak, 74, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023, after a lengthy illness.  Her parents, Grenville and Lydia Black Jordan and her brother, Toby Jordan predeceased her.  She is survived by her daughter, Amy Podziak.

Pam grew up in Cape Elizabeth and lived her adult life in Scarborough.  She loved family picnics and reunions with the large and fun-loving Black family on Little Sebago Lake, surrounded by a multitude of cousins of all ages.

Pam worked seasonally at L.L. Bean for several years.  She enjoyed traveling and auditing Adult Education classes at USM.  She was a lifelong member of Cape United Methodist Church.

We wish to thank Pam's loyal and faithful helpers; Terry Skillings and family, who have provided her with support, guidance and assistance for many years and the Gorham House caregivers, where Pam spent considerable time over the years.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. at Brooklawn Memorial Park, 2002 Congress Street, Portland followed by a reception at the Elizabeth Hobbs Hospitality Center, next to Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland.  Friends are invited to attend the graveside service and/or the reception.

From Dora : She was amazing, a very intentional person.  Whenever I went in front of her and was sad, she could easily tell that I was and tried her best to make me feel well and my day better.

From Mary: The most amazing thing about Pam was her strength.  I never met someone with all the hardships she faced, but always trudged on.  She was an inspiration to me.

From Adelia N: With the little time I had to spend with Pam, I learned that she was a wonderful person, with a smile on her face and who was fighting for her life.  I miss her.

From Nina: Pam loved to laugh at animal programs, anything silly.  She had her own stuffed animals that she loved.  Also anything chocolate!

From Nadifo: I felt like she was part of my family.  Today someone called me and told me she passed away yesterday and I was heartbroken and now I have a headache.  I'm so sad for her.  She was one of the nicest people I've ever met.

From Janet: Pam and I had many great days.  She would look forward to Saturdays when we would always go galavanting around Scarborough.  Pam loved people. She could hold a conversation with anyone. When we went to WalMart she said hi to every child she could.  She loved children.  Pam loved coffee ice cream.  Pam loved peanut M&M's.  Pam loved all wildlife that came to her back yard.  Pam loved both Terry and Brent and so looked forward to their visits.  Pam loved L.L. Bean.  Pam loved her little red car that she drove way too fast down I-95.  Pam loved the men of Scarborough Rescue, who always made her feel special.  How wonderful it was to be loved by PAM!!!
