**Obituary for a Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Sister**

Patricia (Pat) N. (Earl) Unnold, 81, of South Portland, passed away at home on January 1, 2025, with her husband by her side. Pat was born in Portland on December 29, 1943, to Everett S. Earl and Beryl E. Earl, and was the oldest of their three children. She had a playful yet enduring bond with her siblings, Ward Earl, and Stacy Aube Earl. Pat graduated from Portland High School in 1962 and had lengthy, fulfilling careers at the Cumberland County Civic Center and as a children's librarian at the South Portland Public Library.

On October 29, 1966, Pat married Barry G. Unnold Sr. and settled in South Portland to start a family. Devoted to her two children, Barry Jr. and Bonnie Unnold Bogosian, son-in-law Michael Bogosian, and her grandchildren, Brett, Blake, and Evelyn Bogosian, Pat cherished her time on family trips, camping and boating excursions, and long drives. She also enjoyed sharing her many talents for baking, sketching, knitting, and sewing with family and friends. Pat's love extended to all animals, especially her most recent dog, her beloved Ebony.

Pat's kindness and selfless nature touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her mother and father and survived by her husband of 58 years, her siblings, children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 9th, with visiting hours from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at Hobbs Funeral Home in South Portland, followed by a service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland.
