Paula Wood

Paula (Carragher) Wood, 95, passed away on April 2, 2026, in Saco, Maine. She was born on November 28, 1930, in Killingly, Connecticut, to Hugh and Bertha Carragher.

Paula was a longtime resident of South Portland, Maine. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Daniel Wood, and their son, Daniel Wood, Jr. She was also predeceased by her three sisters, Katherine, Constance, and Joan, and her five brothers, Hugh, Daniel, Francis, Richard, and Nicholas. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her with love.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who supported Paula with such dedication and kindness in her final years. In particular, they are deeply grateful to Kevin Conroy, whose remarkable compassion and generosity brought comfort, dignity, and joy to her life.

Burial will take place at Brooklawn Memorial Cemetery in Portland, Maine on Wednesday, April 22 at 1:00pm.
