Richard Male

Richard Male, passed away on April 18, 2024, under the wonderful care of the staff of the ICU at Mercy Hospital in Portland, ME.

Richard grew up in Schenectady, NY. He attended Mount Pleasant High School and Union College where he excelled at football and wrestling.

After graduating from Union, Richard went on to teach high school in New Hampshire and New York. During that time Richard obtained a Master's Degree in Social Work at SUNY Albany.

In the early 1970's Richard and his family moved to Yarmouth, ME. Richard lived most of his life in Yarmouth.

Later in life Richard attended Bangor Theological Seminary and received a Master's Degree in Divinity.

Richard is survived by many family and friends here in Maine and upstate New York.

Richard was known for his kindness and was a true friend. Richard will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.

To Richard, we say farewell for now, but we will never forget the light he brought into our lives. May he rest in peace, and may we continue to honor his memory by living our lives to the fullest.
