Ruth (Pomfret) Bourget passed away peacefully in Scarborough, Maine on September 27th at the age of 79 after a long battle with Alzheimers.

Ruth was born in Melrose, MA in 1945.  She studied at Children's Hospital where she earned her RN license.  She started her career as a nurse at Lowell General Hospital.  Ruth was a long time resident of Westford, MA where she was a pediatric nurse.  She later graduated from Regis College with a Bachelor's of Nursing in 1999, and continued nursing until she retired in 2010.

Ruth was preceded by her parents, Earl and Alice Pomfret, and her husband Charles Bourget. She is survived by her sons Andrew Bourget and his wife Lisa of Westford, MA and Douglas Bourget of Norhthampton, MA; grandsons Evan Bourget and Nathan Bourget; her sisters Elizabeth Moseley of Stow, MA and Jane Goldstein of Ocean Park, ME; as well as nephews, nieces and their children.

There will be an open house for family and friends at the home of her sister Jane Goldstein at 42 Winona Avenue in Ocean Park Maine on October 6th from 11am-3pm.
