Sarah J. Swiger, 70, of South Portland, passed away on April 3rd, 2025, peacefully under hospice care at Pinnacle Health & Rehab at Sanford. Sarah was born on July 19th, 1954 in Portland, Maine, of Charles W. Swiger and Elizabeth A. Swiger (Giberson).

Sarah attended Portland and South Portland Schools. After school she spent her life as a dedicated New England sports fan. Her favorite team was the Boston Red Sox. She never missed a game on television. Sarah also enjoyed spending time with her neighbors at Mill Cove.

Sarah was a strong willed and independent woman with a very kind heart. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Sarah is predeceased by her sister Valorie of South Portland, sister-in-law Diane Swiger of South Portland, sister-in-law Miyoko Mcaffe of South Portland.

Sarah is survived by brothers: Walter Swiger and wife Melissa of Cape Coral, FL, Willie Swiger of South Portland, Richard Swiger and wife Rosanne of Portland, and Carl Mcaffee of Nashville, TN.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, April 9th at 1 p.m. at Brooklawn Memorial Park, 2002 Congress St, Portland, ME 04102.
