Stanley
Moses
Jul 5, 1941 — Sep 21, 2025
Stanley Moses, of South Berwick, Maine, winged his flight to the Abha Kingdom on September 21, 2025 at Maine Veterans' Home in Scarborough, Maine.
He was a devoted member of the Bahá'í Faith, serving on the Local Spiritual Assembly of Milton, Florida. In 2005, he and his wife, Jean, traveled to the Holy Land in Haifa, Israel, for pilgrimage.
Born on July 5, 1941, in Vergennes, Vermont, to Lila Peryea and Leo Moses, Stan spent his early years in service to his country as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Later, he worked for 32 years as the Assistant Community Development Director for the City of Bangor, Maine. He earned a BS from DePauw University, an MBA from Husson College in Bangor and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Maine.
Stan loved the outdoors—he hiked Mt. Katahdin six times before the age of 60, enjoyed kayaking near his home in Bucksport, Maine, and rode his motorcycle to work in summers.
In 2007, Stan and Jean embraced retirement as snowbirds, spending summers in Maine with family and winters in Florida. They shared many adventures together in the Sunshine State.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Moses; his three sons, Aaron Moses (Charlene) of Hudson, New Hampshire, Chris Moses of Woburn, Massachusetts, and Soo Kim (Yan Jin) of Leander, Texas as well as grandchildren Erica and Emily Moses, Daniel and David Kim.
