Susan Gilbert, age 68, passed away peacefully at her home in South Portland Maine on November 3rd. She was born on June 26th. 1955 the daughter of Nina Parmenter Gilbert and John Gilbert. She is survived by her loving son Shane Munson, her fiancé and life partner Dana Calnan, her sister Cynthia Tripaldi and partner Gary Thibodeau, her sister Jayne Chickola, her loving nieces and nephews, her beloved dog Rocky and her many friends. She is predeceased by her loving mother Nina Gilbert, brother Bill Gack, and sister Sheryl White.

Susan was a fantastic cook who loved to entertain and play cards with her family and friends.  She was known for being fashionably late.  She loved taking care of the neighborhood children when Shane, her son, was younger.

She was a Certified Nurse's Aide/Med Tech who did eldercare and loved taking care of the elderly.

A special thanks to Kerri Densmore, her hairdresser and Debbie Chute, a close friend, for being there for Susan when she needed them most.

A celebration of life will be held at Evie's Watering Hole 121 Sawyer Street South Portland, ME 04106 from 4pm to 7pm.
