Susan W. Stanford, 75 passed away on Friday, April 19th at home under the care Hospice. She was born June 12, 1948, to Merle and Marion (Barker) White of Cape Elizabeth.

Sue graduated from Cape Elizabeth High School in the class of 1966. Sue held various jobs. She worked at the Main Office at the Maine Mall, she worked in the office of the Superintendent of Schools at South Portland, and in the office of the Mayor of South Portland and at UNUM. She retired from work due to ongoing health problems.

She is survived by her husband, George Stanford, Jr., of Cape Elizabeth, daughters Kathy Stanford of Scarborough, Bethany Stanford and husband Jimmy Cribby of South Portland, and Erin Stanford of Cape Elizabeth. Three grandchildren Taylor Cribby and finance Joseph Spizzuoco of Old Town, Jamison Mitchell and husband Devin of Oxford, Devon Stanford and Maryanne Thompkins of Eliot. Two great-grandsons Gavin Larsen and Roman Cribby of Old Town. Her brother Philip White and wife Debbie of Virginia. Two sisters-in-law Sandra Hartford and husband Buzz of Cape Elizabeth and Brenda Harrison of Scarborough. And several nieces and nephews and cousins.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
