William (Bill) R. Krahe, 64, of Buxton, Maine, passed away from an accident caused by a health condition on July 23, 2023 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Bill was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Raymond and Ruth Krahe on November 27, 1958. He married Lynn Mistretta on October 4, 1986 in Park Ridge, New Jersey. Bill worked for many years in IT, was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, was heavily involved with St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Scarborough, and worked closely with the Veterans Association in Cleveland.
Bill loved anything and everything home construction related, long and music-filled road trips to visit family and friends, working on and talking about computers, helping his kids with "dad stuff" (especially car stuff), and attending all kinds of community events in the southern Maine area.
Bill is predeceased by his father, Raymond Krahe, his mother, Ruth Krahe Buettner, his stepfather, Bill Buettner, his brother, Brian Krahe, and his nephews, Bobby and Gordon Powers. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Mistretta, his two children, Amelia Mrozinski and Peter Krahe, their spouses, Sam Mrozinski and Deirdre Clifford, his siblings, Mary Ann, Barbara, Carolyn, Patty, Marty, Ray, Peter, Peggy, and Chris, his stepsiblings, William, Susan, and Annie, and his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 30th from 2-4PM at Hobbs Funeral Home in Scarborough, Maine. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 31st at 11AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Scarborough, Maine. The Mass will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend. Please visit jp2me.org/live at 11AM in order to view. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in South Portland, Maine.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Bill's family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center and the University Hospital Trauma Intensive Care Unit in Cleveland.
