Nathan Lessard, 35, of Portland, Maine, passed away on May 26, 2021 in Portland, Maine. Nate was born in Hyannis, Mass. on August 5, 1985. His parents are Elizabeth and Roger Fagan and Charles and Sue Ellen Lessard. His childhood was spent on Cape Cod, North Berwick Maine and Scarborough, Maine.

Nate attended Louisiana College along with multiple other adventures in lifelong learning. He married Lisa-Marie Lessard in Scarborough, Maine.  Nate was a chef who was celebrated in some of the fine restaurants in Portland.  He was involved in caring for others through Maine Needs, Preble Street Resource Center, and people that he met on the street. Nathan was known for shedding his warm coats, hats, and gloves as he saw people in need on the streets of Portland.  N8 the Gr8 climbed most of the mountains in NH and Maine.  He was able to claim being outdoors during the eye of a hurricane, having a snowball fight on Mt. Washington on the 4th of July, holding a koala in Australia, and playing some serious fantasy football.  His friendships are far reaching.

Nathan is survived by a very large family of people who have watched him grow from birth to death and share all of the adventures along the way.  He did not have children. Nathan will rest in our hearts and in the memorial garden at St. Albans Episcopal Church in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Maine Needs www.maineneeds.org and invitations to family and friends to sit with him in the gardens to recant tales of this caring and loving man. Bring a frisbee or some Magic Cards and spend some moments with N8 the Gr8.
